This is one of those strange things in life where the best costs just as much as the worst. So you have to ask yourself... What differentiates one insurance broker from the next?

First thing has to be pricing right? Well yes and no. Because of the Affordable Care Act brokers in Pennsylvania are all given the same rates for the same health insurance carriers. So as far as pricing goes there isn't a big difference. However smart, seasoned health insurance brokers and agents know how to manipulate the quotes to remove the costly less utilized benefits and replace them with more cost effective, employee-pleasing options or riders on the selected health insurance plans.
Next we have to go to experience. Well over a decade ago we were the new health insurance agency in Central and Northeastern PA and being a new insurance agent can be largely trial and error in the beginning. There isn't very much formal training and there is even less professional courtesy from your peers.
